A matched follow-up and sufficient daily context show improvement in the target cosmetic marker.
The Works On Me method
Give one skincare change a fair test.
A useful answer needs more than one photo. Start with a steady baseline, change one variable, keep daily context, and compare a matched follow-up before deciding what to keep.
01
Before the test
Build a seven-day baseline.
If your current routine has already been steady for seven days, you can use that as context. Otherwise, log one steady week before changing a product. The goal is to understand your normal routine before asking what changed.
- Keep your existing routine steady.
- Log AM and PM context; routine photos are optional and local.
- Take the starting scan in bright, even light with a clear, centered pose.
02
During the test
Change one variable.
Choose one product to try or one trigger to pause. Keep the rest of your routine steady so the follow-up has a fair signal. A pileup of changes makes it harder to know what earned its place.
- Track one product or trigger against your own baseline.
- Save daily context instead of relying on memory.
- Wait for the trial window to close before calling Keep or Drop.
03
At follow-up
Match the scan conditions.
Use similar lighting, framing, pose, and timing. Works On Me checks comparison quality before supporting a verdict. If conditions changed too much, retake instead of treating the difference as product evidence.
The outcome
Read the verdict in context.
Verdicts are tied to the target cosmetic marker and the completed trial—not a universal ranking of the product.
There is no evidence to keep the variable for that goal, the target marker worsened, or a completed trial included a logged reaction.
A reaction was logged before the trial finished. Stop the variable and let skin settle; this is not a product judgment.
Trial time, daily logs, or matched-scan evidence are not yet enough for a Keep or Drop decision.
What it can do
Make repeatable cosmetic comparisons clearer.
Works On Me estimates visible cosmetic marker bands, preserves routine context, and helps you compare one controlled change against your own baseline.
What it cannot do
Replace medical care or prove a cause from one scan.
Results are cosmetic estimates, not medical diagnoses, treatment guidance, or exact biological-age measurements. Consult a dermatologist or other qualified clinician for medical concerns.
Photos and access
Know what happens before you scan.
Photo handling
The submitted selfie is sent through Works On Me to a third-party AI provider to generate the report. Works On Me does not persist it on its servers; the provider may retain API data for up to 30 days. Saved scan and optional routine photos remain on your device until you delete them or the app.
